The isba is a state-recognized international study and vocational academy offering six accredited Dual Bachelor Programs. Students can specialize in five areas within the Bachelor of International Business Management program, with additional courses in health and nursing in the pipeline.

Students engage with the design of an inclusive living environment. They learn about supportive social work/social pedagogy theories and methods.
Mental Illness and Addiction
Focus Areas:
Support system, legal foundations, life phases and situations, limits of care, counseling and therapy approaches, global practice, knowledge of diagnosis, counseling vs. therapy, clinical case work.
Content:
Students engage with the overall context of psychosocial care practice. Additionally, diagnoses and interventions are central to the curriculum, as well as the prevention and treatment of psychosocial problem situations.
Early Childhood Education
Focus Areas:
Attachment and development, education, upbringing, family, (social) institutions, legal foundations, methods of observation/documentation/diagnosis, support.
Content:
Students engage with developments and phenomena in childhood. They learn the fundamentals of assessment and support for children, including those with special needs.
Child and Youth Welfare
Focus Areas:
Participation, fields of action, community orientation, legal foundations, protective measures, assistance planning and implementation, individual and social factors, forms of assistance.
Content:
Students engage with the various fields of action in child and youth welfare. The focus is on assistance planning and group work, as well as the interaction between the different fields of action.
School Social Work and School Support
Focus Areas:
Social mandate of schools, youth services in schools, terms and concepts, health promotion, knowledge of support systems, school attendance and absenteeism.
Content:
Students engage with school social work and school support as the interface between youth services and schools, along with legal foundations and funding. The focus is on counseling, individual support, open offerings, group work, crisis management, as well as professionalization and further development.

Physiotherapists are experts in health, movement, prevention, and rehabilitation. They are involved in the healthcare provision as part of the service mandate. Healthcare is a growth sector, and therapeutic approaches are becoming an increasingly important central pillar. Since science has researched independent physiotherapeutic approaches, physiotherapists have also become interdisciplinary partners with other expert groups in fields such as medicine, sports science, medical technology, gerontology, and ergonomics.
Occupational Therapy (iba)
Occupational therapists are experts in empowering people in their daily lives. They support health, functionality, movement, prevention, and rehabilitation. As part of the healthcare system, they are involved in the service mandate. Occupational therapy focuses on a holistic medical treatment of individuals, taking into account psychological, educational, and social aspects as well.
Speech therapy (iba)
You support people of all ages in various life situations and with different conditions. From stroke patients to children with speech and/or language disorders: through therapeutic interventions and exercises, limitations in speech, voice, or swallowing are often resolved, or aids and compensations are developed together. In this way, patients regain a better quality of life.
Physician Assistant (isba)
The range of tasks for a Physician Assistant (PA) is very diverse and serves well as further education in medicine. PAs work in hospitals, medical practices, and health centers. In addition to initial patient assessments and conducting ultrasound and ECG examinations, they can also perform minor procedures themselves, following delegation from physicians. The profession of Physician Assistant makes an important contribution to maintaining high-quality medical care for patients. Studying for a Physician Assistant degree part-time at ISBA opens the door to further education in medicine.
